Our PAL seniors recently had the opportunity to experience a weekend they will never forget, and it was all made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Because of their continued commitment to supporting youth in our community, our seniors were treated to a special weekend getaway to Orlando filled with adventure, laughter, and experiences many of them had never had before.
A Themed Stay and Team Challenges
The trip began with a stay in a uniquely themed Airbnb that immediately set the tone for an exciting weekend. From the moment they arrived, the house itself became part of the experience, giving our seniors a fun and memorable place to relax, bond, and enjoy time together.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting an escape room, where the group worked together to solve puzzles, crack clues, and beat the clock. It was the perfect mix of teamwork, problem-solving, and fun, and our seniors loved the challenge.
Shopping and Exploring Disney Springs
The adventure continued with a visit to Disney Springs, where participants had the chance to explore the shops, enjoy the atmosphere, and spend time together outside of their usual routines. For many, it was their first time visiting, and it was exciting to see them experience the energy and magic of the area.
A Day at Universal Orlando
To wrap up the weekend, our seniors spent a full day at Universal Orlando. With Express Passes in hand, they were able to make the most of their time and enjoy ride after ride without the long waits. From thrilling roller coasters to unforgettable attractions, the day was packed with excitement, laughter, and memories they will carry with them for years to come.
More Than Just a Trip
While the weekend was filled with fun activities, the impact goes much deeper. Experiences like these give our teens the chance to step outside of their everyday environments, build stronger friendships, and create positive memories during an important time in their lives.
For many of our seniors, this is a milestone year as they prepare to graduate and begin the next chapter of their lives. Being able to provide them with a trip like this is a way to celebrate their hard work, encourage them to keep striving for success, and remind them that their community believes in them.
